How Do You Compare Catering Quotes?
Compare the total price with every fee, tax and service charge included, not the per-person food price. Ask each caterer to quote the same menu, guest count and service style, then compare staff and hours, rentals, setup and cleanup, license and insurance, and the deposit and cancellation terms. Get the winner in writing.
More Help
How many catering quotes should you get?
Two or three quotes are usually enough to see the normal price range and spot missing items. Send every caterer the same brief: date, venue, guest count, service style, menu ideas and dietary needs.
Why is one quote so much cheaper?
Usually because something is missing: staff, rentals, service charge, tax, delivery or cleanup. Fill in every row of the table for each caterer before you decide.
